Prelim Evaluation

Prelim Evaluation

From making our Prelim I have learnt a lot because there was good things and bad things which we could have improve on.Luckily when  making our actual thriller film opening we will. Firstly, the good things which came out of our thriller was that we have improved our filming skills a lot since we lasted filmed our Film Remake. It seems we decided to step up our game and incorporate a greater variety of shots into our work which makes it more interesting. Also we have seemed to reduced the amount of mistakes we usually make when filming for example when we made Film Remake we missed out a scene.

If we had some more time on our hands when producing our prelim we would have got even better marks because some of it ended up being rushed because we were running out of time. We also had a lack of planing and personally I believe this affected us when making our film. From this I have learnt that the planing stages of our actual thriller film opening our going to be essential because weak planning will result to a weak film opening.

We also need to be more aware of the mise en scene around the frame of the camera, because when shooting our prelim their was a shot where a tripod was clearly visible in the footage. This made our work look a little unprofessional which most likely lost us marks.

When evaluating the editing stage of the producing the prelim, I don't think it went that badly, we manage to get the footage flowing naturally and shots matched well. We also used slow motion in a shot which really added some extra feeling to the prelim. The downside to the editing was that once again we did not get to add all the titles to the Prelim which is a little bit disappointing. This happened because we ran out of time. But now knowing this when we create our actual thriller film opening we would have to managed our time organization more
