As a task, we were tasked with funding out and creating our own Foley sounds. For this, i went on YouTube and found a Tutorial.

From watching this I have increased my knowledge of Foley sounds and learnt new ways of creating sounds. For example the clip explains that even the sound of clothes moving needs to be recreated in order to give of a realistic fell to the audience. Also that creating Foley sound is a matter of trial and error.
In some cases there may not be an exact object to create a similar sound to suit the action therefore you would just have to experiment with a couple of props/objects before you find a sound you are happy with.
