Intertextuality - Props

From looking at Se7en's opening credits, I am able to see how the idea of a 'Scrapbook' is used and portrayed, also how the mise en scene and heavy editing can create an effective thriller . Se7en includes many aspects that are associated with serial killers therefore it was the perfect film to look at and use as our intertextuality .

At this point of Se7en, I really liked how the loss of idenity is used effectively, as it lead me to create something similar within our piece.

Within Se7en, the tea bagged stained pages, insipred me to do the same within our production, as it looks effective and fits the genre. At this point the character is cutting film footage, we decided to do something similar in the sense that our character, would cut images and articles regarding the victim.

The idea of pages turning, relates to our concept, so from watching Se7en's opening credits, i learnt that by taking a simple shot, you can editing it; quickening or slowing it down, so that it best fits, the pace of the film.
