Reasons why the prelim was a success.
For a first try at filming, i believe that the Prelim we made was a success of some sorts. Our Prelim Our followed the rules which were specified, it contained the 180 degree rule, it contained a shot reverse shot and a match cut of Me, (prodigy) opening a door which was what was asked of us. Also the titles that we did incorporate followed the conventions of a normal film opening.
Reasons why or prelim was not a total success.
Our Prelim did have a lot of mistakes that we can now prioritize on when coming to make our real thriller opening. We did not finish adding all the titles to the clip because of much needed time. Because of this, next time we'll have to work on our time management to make sure that we have enough time to go over any bad shots. Also, the background sound was very muffled, thus bringing down the quality of the clip.
I believe the lack of planning was the reason our prelim was not a total success. This is something that we as a group can work on for our real Thriller Opening.
