Intertextuality

Intertextuality
Intertextuality is when films borrow certain elements from each other and decided to include them in their own film. This is very common within the film industry. Things that the viewers may notice which has been borrowed from other films are; Camera angles, aspects of Mise-En Scene , sound clips and the way some films have been edited. A famous film which has been intertextualised by many other films is once again Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. An example of this is the Mise En scene of the actual psycho film and the reference which has been made in a Simpsons Episode.

From this I have realized that intertextuality is not only used within      the film industry but it can be used amongst other forms of televised media.
